‘Cost to standardise only A$250 per hospital’
If you know the internal Hospital Emergency Number for any of the Private hospitals in NSW please could you let us know by adding to this map:
When the website opens click on the yellow ‘+’ sign to geolocate the hospital. If the hospital has the standardised 2222 Number click on green link, if it’s a non standardised number click on the yellow link. Feel free to add a photo too.
All public hospitals in NSW and ACT using an internal hospital emergency number have now standardised at 2222.
Ramsay Healthcare aim to have standardised all their Australian hospitals by the end of August 2019. Their estimated cost to standardise (including telecommunications, advertising campaign, point of care labelling) per hospital is only A$250.
There’s a handful of private hospitals which haven’t yet standardised – we’re contacting the CEOs to encourage standardisation and will keep you posted on their feedback (amber icons on map).
Let’s ensure all NSW Hospitals are using the same internal Hospital Emergency Number avoiding unnecessary delays in resuscitation.
