A red stripe indicating the location of the arrest alarm making it easier for staff to find it quickly.
For me this is what human factors system safety is all about – making it easier for us to do our jobs optimally.

As far as what to use to create the red stripe:
- 3M Red Tape 471 is designed for use in hospitals, is easy to wipe for infection control and also does not carry a flame – we have purchased tape with a width of 50mm. The video below demonstrates how this tape does not carry a flame:
