The Australian Resuscitation Council provided their unanimous support for standardisation with the number 2222 at their council meeting March 2018.
The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and Australian Society of Anaesthetists provided their support in April 2018.
We have developed a collaborative working group including representatives from these bodies to help deliver the project.
We are in the process of contacting all hospital governing bodies to make them aware of this initiative.
So far we have received support from the Federal health Minister Greg Hunt, Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation, Safer Care Victoria, and the Australian College of Emergency Physicians.
